ANYONE releasing "alien and invasive" species of plants and animals - including wild boar and one particular type of rhododendron - would face up to two years in jail under a crackdown outlined yesterday.
About 150 forms of life would be added to the proscribed list and, for the first time, the Scottish Executive is also proposing that the sale of 21 species would be a criminal offence.
