Beautiful, but I can almost guarantee that the air wash will not work and your glass will be cacked up in a day grrr - or does that just happen to my stove- the promised air wash doesn't work on mine not the end of the world but I do like to see the flames !

The cheapest I've seen an Esse Ironheart was a whisker over £2700 inc VAT.

If you want a "cute" one at a lower price, have a look at the Stanley Errigal range. You can get them in solid fuel or oil, as dry, DHW or DHW and CH (up to nine radiators). I've seen an Errigal 50 solid fuel (with DHW and CH) for a shade under £2000 inc VAT (but you'd have to pay another £200 or so for the shelves and plate racks to get the whole effect!).

I'd still prefer a Rayburn but the OH thinks the Errigals look nice.

I liked the look of the esse too,saw it when i was looking for my little stove,mabe when my old rayburn dies "& i win the lottery" Stoves r us online are offering a discount on this 1,dont know how much.A.

oo no - I don't like the look of the errigal at all. spose thats not everything.

we are building up massive gas bills with our rayburn, and always have it on low (EVERYTHING is slow cooked these days). this is why I am looking at woodburning ranges at the mo. tho i dont spose I would ever recover teh cost of changing.... depends how much I woudl get for the one we have.

I don't see us going for the glass windowed one, as we have fireplaces in both kitchen and living room, would prolly have woodburner in living room and wood fired range in kitchen. all we need to do, as already said, is win the lottery. slightly hard as we never play the lottery.

Looks a bit twee to me. But then I like my stuff to be functional and practical, the look comes second.
