Please help me kick T***o where it hurts!

Post: # 42998Post mew »

After we've got all the food we can from our local farm shop we still go to our local T***o's to get things that farm shops can't! We swapped from asda to T***o owing to asda's walmart ownership and the thought that T***o's were doing "something about recycling etc" but in recent times the more I look at it ive seen all this talk of greeness for what it is and its just hot air.

I can recycle plastic types 1,2,4, and 5 at my local council site and so while buying things at T***o ive been keen to recycle as much of the plastics as possible, but there are so many products that they sell under there own name which give you no indication of what the plastic is and having e-mailed the manufacturers of the plastics and got no response I'm going to e-mail tescos and tell them that if they don't start clearly indentifying what plastics are in there packaging I will every week take back all the packaging I can't identify and ask to see the store manager so he can help, and if he can't then i'll dump it at the customer services desk and tell them to deal with it. And im asking anyone who shops there to do the same. But i'd like us all to do it at the same time first time round so we can get some press coverage of it and push tescos into doing something real.

If you want to help with this campaign please reply below, thanks

I think a group of journalists in london were already doing something like this. - I try to boycott tescos all together, could I take plastic from another supermarket in there

In my experience it is far better to go straight to T***o as you will get a quicker response. - you might also try your local MP, mine got back to me on a seperate issue a little while ago and I was most pleased with the response as she was already doing something about it.
