Cost of renting land

I hope I'm posting this in the right place - if not feel free to move it.

Col and I are just starting to think about getting a smallholding to keep chickens and pigs and a poly tunnel and veg patch. We reckon a couple of acres would be about right. We wouldn't be moving house as we would still need to work so want to rent the land from a local farmer. I've spent ages on the web but can't seem to find out a ball park figure for how much a couple of acres of land would be per month. Does anyone have any ideas? We live in Northamptonshire.
