a few questions....
Hello all,
been lurking here for a few weeks and plunged in a few days ago.
Just wanted to ask a few questions so as to not fall foul of any rules :)
I hqave a site that has a regular poll on it, which ie related to eco living - could i create a thread that each time i update with a new poll i post in it? it shouldnt take too much space - but would help me out a great deal getting all of your opinions!
Also I have an events calendar that I use to try and offer free promoting for peeps like you lot - just as a free advertising medium - could i post a link to this in the relevant section?
Thanks again and hope to speak to you all soon
Mike

YOu could have a link for the regualr poll on your signature and every time you update the poll you update your signature, the more you post on here the more people will see it.

I reckon putting a link in your sig is the way to go. That's the generally accepted way of referencing your own site; a repeated post doing that would quickly become annoying, especially if it serves your interest rather than ours.
You have to remember that this site is here because of a lot of hard work on the part of its owners and moderators, and while useful links and information are welcome, the site and its forum are not here in order to offer free publicity to other sites, and I know they put a lot of effort into keeping freeloaders down, which keeps the forum readable for the rest of us.
Put a link in your sig, and that means that it will be there every time you make a contribution, or join in with the community here; we like people who do that.

I will leap to your defence Stew!
I reckon you've hit on a good point or two there... and I like the way you say what you feel.
In fact... I'll second it... we love people to join in here :D

Everything ok, over there? Your guttering hasn't fallen down and bonked you on the noggin, has it?
I'm just not used to it when the grumpy old gits post diplomatic stuff.
...Am a bit concerned though, I think we just lost the grumpy old git vote.
