Tomatoes in a growbag

Post: # 52825Post Satori »

Hi peepz,

Newbie to vegetable growing here, and I was wondering if I can just put some tomatoes seeds I have brought straight into a grow bag or do I have to put them into pots first, let them grow a little then put them in the grow bag?

Thanks

Satori

You can put them direct into the growbag, but if you raise them in a punnet or whatever and you transplant seedlings then you don't have to worry about non germinating seeds. I suppose just plsnt a number of seeds at each station and leave the strongest seedling in place, pulling the rest out.

Thanks for that Wombat ... I decided against going straight into the growbag, and went for the pot option ... i've now got 3 little shoots from the seeds I planted a week ago!
