Giant Rabbits, availability in the UK ?

Post: # 61340Post WaltA »

Hello,
there has recently been a lot of media attention on giant rabbit breeders* in (the former East?) Germany.
*Or should I say German breeders of giant rabbits ! :)
One notable episode was about the supply of rabbits to N.Korea

So, I wonder, what type of rabbit is this and are they available in the UK ?

TIA

C.-> Thanks, it seems that "Continental Giant" is what I need.

L.A. -> That's OK, I can put them out to graze in my field of triffids :)

Well. it has been several dacades since we raised rabbits for (our own) meat and after a bit more googling it seems that New Zealand are still the variety of choice (considering time to produce weight) despite what the N.Koreans and Germans may think !
So much for news reports !!
