Thank you for the birthday wishes!

The weather was awful (still is, but at least it's stopped raining!), so even though my husband had taken the day off, we opted to stay home (we were going to go out for a nice lunch as a family, as we always do).

We were going to go out today. Still cold, but that's more manageable. But, the goats had other plans. The two I worried about both began labour while we were doing chores this morning, a buck was in a paddock where he didn't below, and a lot of newly hatched turkey poults got in the way of the bucks' feeding frenzy and one got knocked onto its back and needed rescuing. One doe had her 2 big kids with no trouble (last year, one giant was presented as a frank breech, and it took me 1.5 hours to get him out, dead, and his twin sister had died in the process), and the other one decided to keep her legs crossed for the day. So, I just went into town with my daughter and ran errands. :? Maybe next week.... sigh....

Cheers!

I'm late again... belated birthday wishes FarmerDrea

Congrats on the goatlings... hope the next birth goes as well. Hope the weather improves - I can see a glimpse of blue sky here in Scotland.

Gidday

Hey Andrea, you should stop having birthday, otherwise you will get old and end up like me.
Cheers
