Knocked down
I was knocked off the trike today by someone in a Transit - probably deliberate as they caught me with the passenger door and sliding door after pulling out and then swerving into me. Needless to say they didn't stop.
Fortunately, I didn;t have the Wee Un aboard at the time as the trike went on its side and slid.
Broken clavicle right shoulder, an ankle strain, severe bruising to right leg, superficial grazes. Two cars didn't stop to help, nearby houses empty, so I coasted and lopsidedly peddled to school where I got help, the local community hospital then A&E in Aberdeen.
If anyone in Aberdeenshire can help now and again over next few weeks, would be appreciated as I can't do most croft jobs and Other Half will be doing my jobs as well as her job.

Good lord!
I can't believe these people... bloody idiots, I daren't think of what would have happened if you had either of the tots with you, what morons.
Our thoughts are with you, hope you heal soon.
Sorry that we are not near enough to help you out at all, hopefully someone else will.
Did the trike survive then?

So sorry to hear that Stonehead. Sounds like quite a terrible day for you. I am sitting here with a broken ankle right now. Broke in three places and had an operation tp get a metal plate and 9 screws in my leg last week in raigmore from an injury on the croft..
Hope you recover well and are back on your feet again soon.

Oh Stoney, I am so sorry to hear that. People are horrible. Did you get their registration? I wish I could help out in some way. It's a shame I'm back at work otherwise I would have popped up to Woof for a while.
Caithness Crofter - I'm sorry to hear about your problems as well.
I hope you both recover quickly.

That's terrible, Stonehead, I'm so sorry for you. I really wish there was something I could do to help but I am many, many miles away and am committed to various things over the next few weeks, even if I could afford a trip to Aberdeenshire.
Best wishes to you, and to CaithnessCrofter, for a speedy and full recovery.

hey stoney if you pm me I would be happy to send you some of my herbal bone tea I whipped up the other day. comfrey, wakame, horsetail, boneset and maybe a wee bit of arnica tincture to rub on the bruising? I take the tea three times a day and the arnica I grew myself and tinctured in whisky. Perhaps a bit of Yunnan Baiyao would be good for your clavicle and bruising too. I'm also taking calcium, magnesium & boron bone supplements. Plus, taking spirulina and eating seaweed and miso soup everyday. Can't wait to get out and about again and I've still got 5 weeks to sit in bed. EEK! Missing a good chunk of the tree planting season and I was just about to plant a 200 meter edible hedge! Frustrating!

Bloody hell! Thank goodness you are OK, more or less - it could have been much worse. The idiocy of these people! Presumably, they had no idea if you were carrying children or not.
Awful about your collar bone too - that is so painful. I hope you manage to get some help around the croft too.

That's just really awful. I can't believe people didn't stop to help - you're out in the countryside not inner city!
I really hope you find some help on the croft as I know how frustrating it is not to be able to do anything (much) and to feel guilty because your OH has to do it all.
Same sentiments to you too CC.
Hope you both heal quickly.

Stoney - I wish I was a bit nearer to you - but we are having a really busy time here for the next couple of weeks... And the day is always over by the time I finish work anyway!
Get better soon - and I hope somebody will find those b****s!
