Thanks everyone.

It started out nice , we decided to have a walk down to the lottie, as I was being taken out for a lunch treat by the missus, so no work Sunday morning. Beautiful morning, walked down the cemetry lane, past the lines of people clearing up the leaves while on community service. THis cheered us up because they dump the leaves at the lottie for leaf mould.

Got to my plot to find some b**s**d lttle s**t had used bolt cutters and cut through my hardened steel padlock and nicked my gas stove, gas, kettle and tea bags!

Didn't take the coffee, coffee maker or Hobnob biscuits tho? arn't thieves picky these days. No doubt if they had been chocolate covered it'd been a different matter. I have few tools down there, luckily non taken as they came witht he shed and are well past it.

It's amazing the ripple effect of chaos theory. Early in the year the allotments managed to pursuade the council to put up a fence at the top of the site, where all the kids used to hang out and cause no end of grief. THis has now stopped and for 6 months or so things have been great.THen stage two of the allotment improvements kicked in, at the bottom of the plots (where I am) it always floods and the bottom car park is usually under an inch or so of water. So we got a grant to build a wild life pond and put in drainage into this pond. A new gravel surface was put down on the car park.Result...no flooding, BUT the dry car park now attracts the youf's with cars, leaving a large amount of fast food boxes, bottles, fag packets, condoms and little plastic baggies, obviously once containers for drugs. And an easy get away for those armed with bolt cutters
It's not easy being Cheezy
So you know how great Salsify is as a veg, what about Cavero Nero, great leaves all through the winter , then in Spring sprouting broccolli like flowers! Takes up half as much room as broccolli

Bugger  I am really sorry to hear that.

Did you happy to see my post on what I found in my bin the other day, if I am allowed to send gas through the post office (which I greatly doubt) You'd be welcome to it. No idea what the postage would cost though :? I'd gladly send just the stove if you like.... PM me

HI Cheezy - late as usual (this is getting boring!) - but I was off line for a couple of days...

I have the feeling the guys who nicked the stuff just wanted a cuppa! Still, why couldn't they ask nicely... :(
