Enjoying the fruits and veggies of my labour
For a few weeks we've been enjoying fresh strawberries, fresh parsley and a few salads made with fresh lettuce straight from my garden. Tonight we're having silverbeet from our garden.
First time I've grown my own fruit and veggies.
Just because I can't do everything I won't fail to do something.

Yesterday I was minding a friends children. They were helping me weed the garden and asking questions and trying various things. These children don't normally eat veggies willingly but they were asking for more and one kept sneaking off to eat the parsley when she thought I wasn't looking. Another begged (pretty please with sugar on top. May I have some of this stuff. I really want to try it) for the silverbeet so I steamed some for her and she ate the lot. Their mother was so
and is now thinking of growing her own organic veggies at their new home.
