So what sort of music are you all into?
My daughter just introduced me to bellowhead (folk) who you can find on myspace music although I usually go for a bit of rock myself. And my daughter writes a mean tune herself ( Kate Fincham on music myspace) If anyone is interested.

I'm currently listening to Gnarles Barkley, but I am quite partial to Sandi Thom, Nanci Griffith, KD Lang's later work, Dolly Parton, United Future Organization... but then Rob Zombie, Lordi, Kaiser Chiefs, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Desturbed all feature highly in my minidisk collection... quite an ecclectic mix.
I am also very much loving my rediscovered Cardigan's album. it's the first one they brought out and it's fabbytastic (and contains a cover of Sabath Bloody Sabath which always makes for ecellent listening)

Nanci Griffith is an excellent country singer, this is my fave song of hers. it's mine and james's "song". turn up your speakers, it's not a great recording.

Rob Zombie hard rock GOD. he did a remix of Dragula for the matrix soundtrack, but my fave song of his is "living dead girl"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1MQW5e6KcE
KD Lang I don't like her country style stuff, but I loved the album this came from. it came out when I was at sixthform and it was such a good time in my life.

mind you, this is one of my faves from her Constant Craving album

KaiserChiefs I love, this song is from their album Employment

cardigan's cover of sabath bloody sabath

and the Sabbath version

Disturbed were a supporting act for Marilyn Manson's tour in 2000 or 2001... very heavy rock. lyrics may be a little parental advisory, but the vid I'm posting has nothing bad in it. it's just a montage of their photos I think. as a little bit of trivia, the lead singer of disturbed played the devil in the film Tenacious D.

so there you go, examples of everyone you didn't recognise 3M!!
