Hello from sunny Blackburn, UK

Post: # 86008Post urn »

Hello everyone, just a quick intro of who I am and what level I'm at, I live in Blackburn, Lancs, but the good news is I have a very large garden, and much to my girlfriends dismay I have just turned it all over to producing food. So all her nice plants have been dug up, her lawn has gone and I now have 9 14ft x 6ft veg patches, a 40ft poly tunnel and space for the chickens. I'm sure she will talk to me again, but it may be some time. learning most thing as I go but do have a friend who is splitting the work. This is a thing I have wanted to do for some years, but like anything just never had the time, found this web site while searching for info on chickens, so thats me and where I'm at off now to explain to my girlfriend the benifits of keeping pigs, at least I have plenty of work to do while she is not talking to me

You should have kept some flowers - be selfsufficient in flowers for the house and as gifts, and to attract hoverflies and so on :flower:
Hope you can find room for some poached egg plants!

Oh, there's lots of flowers that are edible, too - include some of them in between your veg beds!
