true story... Not in caithness either.
Man with cute cob house with strawbale north wall phones cute mudmason to come round and help figure out why his roof has dropped half a foot in the northwest corner. Mudmason decides to have a wee poke through the plaster in the north wall under offending section of sagging roof. Man with house peers on worringly. Mudmason turns to man and gives him great news. Mudmason has found some excellent well rotted straw behind his plaster for mans garden! Then the mudmason has a wee bit of bad news, man must dismantle his entire roof b4 it caves in then redo half of his house. All for a 7 inch crack in the render hidden in the top of the wall! Ouch!
