Back on and what do you want?
Myself and Dave have neglected this site for the last six months now that we are both in the same city (almost) we really want to make it a good place for everyone. So what do you want from this little place in cyber land? more of the same or something new?

I'm going to make a controversial suggestion - I'm donning the flameproof underwear in case I get a grilling for this:
How about dumping the Good Life avatars? They seem to puzzle a lot of non-UK readers, and it can be a bit of a puzzle for a hulking gurt big fat bloke to come up as Felicity Kendal. It's nice that the site is inspired by a classic TV sit-com, but I think many would-be subscribers may see it as a bit of an in-joke that they don't get, or even a bit twee.
Right; take cover - incoming!

F*@k off you t*$%.
In all Seariousness its a fair point, I do keep getting emails off people saying that they tried to put their own avitar up but some middle aged women came up. On the other hand people have said that they love the fact that you go through the 'good life' ranks. from the feedback I get i'd say this could go 50/50 really mate. S'up to everyone on here I guess.

Hmm what about smaller and also perhaps a small description such as Margo - Newbie, Jerry - posts more than a newbie or what ever? What do they have on forums?

I like the good life pics...they are just a bit of fun..please don't get rid of them.
the site is good as it is ..it ain't broke so don't change it....people can have exactly what they want by coming on this forum and asking. I've asked all sorts of daft things and always got a reply ( sometimes equally daft)

I suppose it depends - youngsters are offended by looking like a "middle-aged" woman, and seriously middle-aged women might be flattered by getting a picture up of a relatively younger looking person...
What about making it easier (if possible) to put our own avatar on, so that those who wish to do so can choose what picture they want? I must admit that I found it very confusing at first, because I didn't know what it stood for, but have got used to it now.
Apart from that, I want more, more, more... of more or less the same, please. No drastic changes, anyway.

I must confess to being a little bewildered at first by the good life icons... let's face it, some younger people may not even know who they are.
I do actually like them though, and find it quite amusing to see some bloke called sid (substitute whatever male name here) posting with an avatar of Margo - I'll grow up one day (maybe!)
I think the site is great - just want more and more people posting on it and sticking around.... notice a few people that start posting and then disappear. Is there an email newsletter that might prod people to post again??
