Oh, sulks; me flashing avatar christmas lights have stopped.
I suppose I was overstepping the image size by a considerable margin - bit surprised it worked at all, actually.
'Tis the season to be jolly...
Bah! Humbug!

Seems to be a 'past midnight' thing - it was working again a couple of hours ago, but has stopped again now. Perhaps it's just a glich in my browser.
Chickenlady, you can post an avatar on your profile page. Some people seem to have trouble uploading it directly from their computer - I upload mine onto a website first (probably www.photobucket.com would do if you don't have your own webspace), and then enter the URL into the appropriate box at the bottom of my profile page; submit, and the picture will then accompany all your posts. However, I'm being a bit naughty because this animated .gif is much larger than the stated allowance.
If you want to have a go at making your own animated gif, there is a very simple program called UnFREEze available for free download on the web. You load in some gif images (I used two, with 'lights' in different positions on each of them), and it will make them into one gif file that will cycle though the images in a contiuous loop.
Hours of fun.
