Hi nyds, I think you should be OK, it's really only the cockerel that seems to upset people. have never lived anywhere without chooks, used to keep some on an allotment when I couldn't have them at the house.

Hi glowlita, I'm new here as well. I used to keep chickens in my back yard in town, as long as there was no cockerel I got away with it ! people never complained about trafic noise, but as soon as the cockerel would crow, well !!!

We have very few wild rabbits here, if there were some they would be shot and eaten by the locals !

It's a ouple of hectares, which was badly overgrown when we bought it, briars 20 foot tal etc. so we have most of it cleared and planted up with fruit trees, trees for wood and also have small animals, e.g. sheep, pigs, rabbits. Also keep hens/ducks etc.
