blackcurrants liquer

Hi there,
i wonder has anyone any recipes for the above, or known here in france as creme de cassis. And can i do it with say rum, vodka ? I would appreciate any tips !

I had a look around and found a recipe here for you made with brandy http://www.showcook.co.za/Summer%20Berries.htm it is the last recipe on the page. Sounds nice might have a go my self!
