cooking corn on the cob
Thanks for all of your replies and suggestions. Seems mine have been tough because I cook them too long. I got them from the Green Gym after a volunteer session. We hope our own lottie won't be to long in the waiting now. The end of December is the next allocation time. barb

I am taking his advice of trying it without sugar for a fortnight and will see if I do start to like it that way.
Hi Andy, thats how I gave up sugar in my tea. At first I missed the sugar but now I couldn't stand even a little bit. That's how I got used to soya milk instead of dairy as well. barb

Hello,
you sound very organised and into the swing of selfsufficientish. My hubby has just been given some pallets, so we are going to make a compost heap. If he gets some more we might use them for planters or raised seed beds. All in preperation for our allotment. barb

Setting Up My Wormery - They escaped.
Hi, We spent Sunday making a womery and the worms arrived in their bedding on wednesday. We decided to introduce the worms to their new home and keep it in the shed first and put it outside after a few days. Followed the instructions, put the lid on and went in for a cuppa feeling good. 2 hours late...
