Big Chinese cleaver, steak knife for tom.s etc, OH and his series of japanese sharpening stones.
Everyone thinks that if you live with a chef you get lots of great meals cooked for you, but he's always at work cooking for others. His sharpening skills are legendary though!

I have a couple of knives that have their own sharpener. You pop the knives back in to the cover and it sharpens them. They really are brilliant and I use them all the time.

Otherwise, kettle and chopping board.

I've just realised that my previous post was wrong, most used is a tea spoon, mug, and kettle

Hand blender for electrical,

my professional type whisks after that. Both work great for making smooth soups if you use the spud masher first before the whisks.

Has to be my Tefal Saute pan, which is a deep frying pan, halfway in between a frying pan and a saucepan.

We got it when we went into Argos one day and ordered a bathroom tidy for about £5 and it wasn't until we got home and opened the box (no labels or anythign to say what was inside) and found we'd been given the wrong item. As it was worth about £25 we kept it and it still looks like new 5 years later. Fantastic for doing risotto, spag bol, etc etc.
