Paper making

Post: # 108201Post Silver Ether »

I know these are makeable but as we don't have all the stuff to hand and its something that will not be used very often I thought I would ask ... I want to make some paper in the holidays with the minded kids as part of a theme
...

We will be using the woods and nature and as part of the activities and I would like to make some paper ... but I need a screen . Before I go and buy one does anyone have one that they want to recycle in my direction ... willing to pay for it or do a swap ... like one of my shopping bags for it ... SE waits

Where abouts are you? I have a few that you could borrow. Anywhere near Swindon?

Otherwise beg, borrow or freecycle a picture frame (about A4 size is ideal for a beginner, just make sure you can fit it in your tray). Then cover it with some old net curtain - a staple gun makes it easy.

Try bending a wire coat hanger into the shape you want, then cover it with old pantyhose (or are they called tights over there? Nylons? Uncomfortable and unnecessary leg coverings?)

I second this.
yes, tights is right Ellendra. Nylons in my mind is a word purely reserved for the even more uncomfortable but oh so much more fun stockings (hold-ups?)

pound shop. I've managed to find 5 pairs in there in a pack. no good for wearing around my legs 'cos they didn't stretch that well, but great for paper making.
