Preventative measuures for parasites

Post: # 112942Post mew »

I will have had my ex battery girls for a week this Saturday.

I just wondered if its a good idea to start protecting them from various parasites red mites, fleas, lice etc and if so, what do other peeps use?

Ive seem that some commercial products have been removed from sale so am cautious as to what best to use. Id rather use something environmentally friendly really.

I found a site called www.sprcentre.co.uk they have an online shop and just wondered what folks thought of their products.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Oh obviously with being ex battery chooks they are in varying states of featherness, Flo looks like she belongs on the chiller counter in T***o :angryfire: ...! so am I best waiting for the feathers to grow back before treatment of the girls or even the coop?

Thanks

MEW

Hi there,
I put a clove of garlic in my girls water seems to work so far.
