Outside? We'd need a heated greenhouse for most of that here!

Well, at the moment the sun is shining - sort of - and it's probably about 6 or 7 degree. Frost last night, though.

Got my Jerusalem artichokes out today! Garlic is showing, but still no development on the broad beans, which I sowed before Christmas. Can't see that mice were busy, either...

No planting yet (*) but I did actually get out and do some work in the garden today for the first time in ages. The main task was getting the compost out of the bottom of my "green dalek" so it can sit on the ground and season for a bit before being dug in (although this batch turned out pretty well) and getting a bit of air to the rest of the composting material to encourage it along. Loads of gorgeous red worms in compost so I'm confident it's good and healthy.

Wulf

(*) ... actually, I haven't even started planning particularly hard yet, although there's definitely going to be beetroot on the list!

I planted Sweetcorn today and I had every intention of planting some more things, but I've run out of pots! I'll have to wait 'til the Daffs and Crocuses are finished then I can use those pots.

Experimentally, I've put some peas and beans in pots which I intend to put in the polytunnel, hopefully getting a few meals' worth rather earlier from them than from the outside crops. No idea whether it will work, but if it doesn't, I've only lost 4 peas and 4 beans...
