I've done it I've changed

Post: # 121202Post KellyB »

Each time Saffie grows I go and buy a whole load of clothes from high street stores well not this time. There is a certain online organic childrens clothing shop hope it's ok to mention the name if not delete this bit It's called Frugi (was cut 4 cloth) well all their clothes are organic and the quality is outstanding so this time I have bought a few bits that she can wear again and again and I don't need to worry about wear as the quality is so good they just don't wear out and I can use them for the next baby if it's a girl or my sister can if she has a girl :) than I am sure the clothes will get passed on to friends babies/toddlers too :)

PS sorry I've been mia been sooo busy

I LOVE frugi! Just ordered a load of winter stuff for ollie in their sale (and its a great one). I got him a pair of drawstring trousers from there when he was 6 months old, they fit him then with the legs turned up and they still fit him now at 14 months old! but not for long as they are becoming ankle swingers! and they still look good as new. it is more expensive (except the sale) but you get clothes that look great and last and last.

can I recommend Bishopston Trading aswell? Fair trade, hardwearing, some fairly basic, and some nice and appliqued, but long lasting (especially on skinny bums, even with cloth nappies). I am almost admitting that ds2s 6m trousers are getting a wee bit short, at 18m. And they have a sale on at mo.

I'll go and have a nose at that, but I've been explaining myself all weekend because I have just done the opposite for once lol! Polly frequently wears second hand/eBay/birthday present clothes, but she has grown like a mushroom in the last few weeks and for once, on Friday, I took her to the shops and let her choose a few items of clothing (she's 6 1/2) and it was such a rare experience, buying brand new clothes from the shops for her. Silly really and I was gobsmacked at the price, but it's a brand I've bought her in the past (last time was about three years ago) and I've been very impressed with the quality. Her clothes last on average two years with masses of wear, so the prices I consider are worth it, but I couldn't do it very often! It'll be back to £1.50 skirts from eBay next time she grows!

Have really fallen on my feet with clothes for Max. A friend with a 10 month old son is going to give me all the stuff she was given for him. There's so much that she never got round to using some of it and has never needed to buy him a single item, woohoo!

Well you see my sister has a boy 4 months older than Saffie so I have the girl set of clothes she has the boy my sister is 6 years younger than me and is leaving it a few years before having another we are trying now sooooo no matter what we have neither of us has to buy anymore clothes as we have both boy & girl clothes so that little extra is worth it for the clothes to be hard wearing for the next 2....did that make sense think I need to go to bed now lol
