Re: green tomato chutney
Here's the really basic recipe which my Grandma used to make. No amounts are given but it's so easy that they can be fairly flexible anyway. Best in a very thick pan or it might burn.
Chop your green tomatoes and about half as many onions. If you like the chutney to be quite smooth you can whizz them up in a food processor. Add plenty of cider vinegar, some grated fresh ginger, plenty of sultanas, black peppercorns and some soft brown sugar. You can add sliced apples and sliced red peppers too. Bring mixture to slow boil over medium heat, then simmer, uncovered, stirring frequently to prevent scorching, for 30 minutes. Bottle in sterilised jars and leave for at least week before eating.
I have a great recipe for fried green tomatoes from a friend in Texas too if you want?

Re: green tomato chutney
I pretty much followed the river cottage cookbook recipe, which uses a couple of courgettes too and a cooking apple for the pectin and various spices - though next time I will do twice as many, I do like a spicy chutney.
