And no i've not been eating my artichokes  i spoke to my sister in cumbria and she said she has had wind and rain for two days now which is usually a good indication that we in the east get it next and boy are we getting it, so its batton down the hatches get the fire on crack open a bottle of home brew and flick through the seed catalogues in the warm, well i'm off,

It's been blowing a hooligan since yesterday afternoon here but to date no rain except a few sprinkles. Despite that I've spent about three and a half hours on the allotment tidying up compost heaps (thank heavens that job is done till it's time to move them this time next year). It wasn't a cold wind and I'd got cabin fever staying in during the foot deep frost.

Yup, we were supposed to go down to Manchester today, but the high winds and rains pu us off.

The good news is it should be gone by tomorrow.

It's reached my bit of the east coast in Lincolnshire, but it's not bad.
Managed to get out shooting this morning but it was cold, very cold.

It's kind of reached us here in the Midlands... I wouldn't say it's blowing a hooligan, but definitely blowing a chav! not quite umbrellas inside out weather yet though!

Very strong during the night, and I have enough rubbish in my front garden to fill a landfill to prove it. Wind's died down but it's been drizzling all day. It's a lot warmer than it has been, though. Been out in my greenhouse and sown a few onion and cauliflower seeds and a tomato seed that I meant to bring into the house but forgot. It can stay there until tomorrow

That is exactly what I did yesterday! The only home brew I have got is some Elderberry port and I am saving that, but I snuggled up on the sofa poring over seed catalogues for a lot of the day.
Last night the wind here was awful! Really howling round the house. I am glad to say today is much calmer. :flower:
