Marmalade time...

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Marmalade time...

Post: # 140091Post Mylovelyhorse »

I've just made marmelade for the first time ever. And I am *sooooooo* proud of my 13 jars of beautiful orange loveliness, that I had to share it with someone! I bought the seville oranges in Sainsbury's and used them as an excuse to buy a preserving pan (I've wanted one for ages, and I figure it's an investment). The house smells wonderful and the jars (still hot) are gently cooling in the kitchen. What a lovely way to spend a cold, wet, windy Sunday.

Fantastic, we cleared out under the stairs yesterday and found the jam I made last year have now added it to the marmalade and lemon marmalade in the pantry, OH has a lot of toast and jam to get through before the summer fruits are ready ! LOL :flower:
