Report from the Daily Telegraph on micro generation.
You'll all know my feelings about large scale windfarms by now, but I think microgeneration is a much more positive thing. It empowers people, rather than giving ever more control to the big energy companies. Fields of big wind turbines don't seem to me to be much about reducing consumption and saving the world.
However, yesterdays local news reported that a nearby organic farm was applying for planning permission to allow 50 of the buggers on its fields. Can't find this report on the web anywhere, so don't know what the details are. Those organic fields will become a major industrial site forever, if this goes ahead.
