now here, in rural Norfolk, i would waddle along to the local farm(s), & see what the old boy has got laying around,(the old bu**ers) never throw anything away!! Failing that then either a builders merchant, or agriculteral supplier should be able to come up with something suitable. ( try bartering..... maybe exchange a wheel for veg,etc.).
it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.

thanks , i have tried all three avenues with no succes . apparently wheels come in two sizes and mine is neither of them! i got the barrow as an absolute bargain for a company which was closing down so im not sure if the barrows were imports. i think by the sound of it my best bet would be to get on a bus for norfolk , your local farmers sound like just the sort of place i would find one : long journey back on a bus with a wheel though  flower:

I had the same problem a few weeks back, in the end I got a 'new' barrow from freecycle- really nice one to wheel- look terrible so no-one will steal it!

One thing I did try temperarily was putting an old child's bike wheel on, they are about the same size and very hard wearing/can carry the weight. Worked OKish and may be easier to get hold of from a skip?
