Spinach beet regrowth?

Well I had a great crop of spinach beet (perpetual spinach) up until November, then I cut them back to the ground as suggested in the hope that they may regrow in spring
Well, I'm fairly confident its spring now and have seen no signs yet. Did anyone else get a spring crop? Did they all due to the very cold winter in UK this year?

I didn't cut ours down - just left it in place over winter. It wilted slightly in the heaviest frosts but bounced back quite happily when the weather improved. Perhaps it's better not to cut back?

I never cut mine back, I use leaves fro salad all winter, maybe it doesn't like being cut back? I thought it was impossible to kill actually!!!

I grow afresh every year but all winter I pick it for my hens, as it's the only green they'll eat. Nothing kills it and when you dig it up and see the size of their roots you will understand why! I believe it's a biennial so you'll have to sow new this year anyway.
