Hi Eco Worrier,

Welcome & thanks for your welcome.

It really is a wonderful day here in Leicester today, but I spent the morning in town looking for birthday presents for family members - needed a long rest by the time I returned. It's rare I go into the City Centre these days as I prefer to frequent my local shops.

Hi Eco Worrier! Why wasnt Leicester like this when I lived there? We were thought of as odd (mind you we did live near the General Hospital and keep chickens!) Seems that its all changed in the time Ive been away, went back for a couple of days last year and didnt recognise the place! Look forward to reading your posts.
Now, what did I come in here for??????

Eco worrier? Changed from a hands on warrior to someone who sits at home contemplating the horrors of global warming?

But my name is Eco Worrier, Andy! Definitely more of a worrier than a warrior I'm afraid, so yes, sitting around thinking about global warming is what I do :?
I've been in Leicester for almost 10 years now. Apparently it is Europe's "First Environment City" and an "Energy City" to boot - not entirely convinced myself. But I do like living here.

Courgette cake? Must try that... gotta recipe? I'm forgetting myself, last year was crap for courgettes. It was the year before that we had a fridgeful, and that was after giving them away to anyone we could talk into it!

I think there's a few on the recipe forum. But if you just take your tried and tested carrot cake recipe and substitute carrots with courgettes, it should be quite ok. Courgettes have more moisture, though, so you might have to adjust something else, too.
