Paint your house white

The new American Secretary of Energy (Nobel Prize Winner, can't remember his name) recently suggested that if all roofs, roads and pavements where painted white, it would reduce Global Warming as much as taking all cars off the road for 10 years.

Also, wouldn't painting your roof black to absorb as much heat in the winter, leave you totally exposed to excess heat in the summer. Insulation protects you from both.

Yes, that's why insulating your house properly is a much better option than painting it black or white.
