Update & (Wanted) Alpro Soya Yoghurts Treat Codes

Post: # 168675Post anarchistinslippers »

Hi all, hope you're well.

I've not been back here for ages (a combination of raising a grievance against my -now former- manager, getting a job elsewhere in the firm, proving my metal, being approved for management training and running a nightshift for a few, well, nights - yawn!). But never-the-less, it's good to be back.

I've grown lots of carrots, beans, tomatoes, lettuce and beetroot after being given some land by my very generous Fenlander father-in-law, who has recently celebrated his 81st birthday.

Aaaaaanyway, Emily (my beloved) finally went Vegan in April (very admirable, completely agree with her for doing so), but personally I cannot give up cheese. The soya equivalent just doesn't cut the cracker! I'm relatively meat/fish free myself and have completely given up the white stuff, so I'm half way there.

In the course of her conversion we've come across Alpro Soya Yoghurts, and very nice they are too. You wouldn't know them from real yoghurts. Truly. Yes, I'm aware I sound like a sell-out!

They've recently launched a promotion where you give them codes (worth 10 points) which you can trade for free stuff (well, free if you exclude buying the flavoursome goop in the first place) on a while-stocks-last basis. Some of it really is good quality tat tho, which we'd like to get our paws on.

If anyone out there has some codes near the bbe dates from said packets (I wouldn't suggest making a note of the codes while in T***o, not that we shop there, oh lord no, -in fact we grow our soya beans for Alpro and they give us a cut of free yogs ha!- that would be very wrong and I wouldn't want any of us ending up in court) it would be very much appreciated. We'll certainly think of you from the deck of our Alpro barge on the Norfolk Broads we've promised ourselves.

Thanks in advance!

Good to BE back and see you all, such an inspiration this place! I'm going to make some entirely locally sourced apart from the apples tomato chutney later :)

Hi and welcome back! Sorry but I got completely lost when you started talking about codes  , but if soya ice cream is really yummy I don't see why yoghurt wouldn't be as well. And I really love soya glop pudding (that's what I call it  - it's like a runny blancmange in a small tetrapak - they even sell it here in French supermarkets!).

The only vegan/soya ice cream we've found is Swedish Glace, but that is seriously good. Very creamy but just on the good side of richness. Nummy!

Have you found that anywhere local? we're in newmarket and have never seen any of that in the area, although I admit to having stopped looking a while ago, would love to get hold of some in case the dairy re-introduction that our son is going through doesn't work fully.

Daily Bread on Kings Hedges Road, Cambridge. They only do one or two lines, however if enough people badger them they get stuff in.

Daily Bread is amazing, tho their website does not do them justice at all. They're a co-operative (albeit a godfearing one).
