I woke up before my alarm clock went off.
I'll be so happy to have light before 8.50am until December!

There's a whole lot of rude things that I thought as I did a smart tour of three clocks and a watch, thanking heavens for this new fangled technology digital technology which does it for itself in the case of radios and computers. Heaven help people who run gadgets that don't have the DIY function.
The bathroom clock has been GMT all summer. I think I shall darned well stay on GMT ad infinitum and be done with this changing of clocks. I still go to sleep when I'm tired and wake up when I'm not. That has nothing to do with the time on the clock.

Humph! My OH has just put the clocks went back - which means that I got up and hour earlier than I thought I had! Is there a smilie for sulking?

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Lol! Thanks Richie - I'm not sulking anymore - I have an extra hour to sit on the sofa with my blankie, watching a chick flick!

hehe! I completely forgot and managed to miss all reference to it on TV and radio yesterday.
Was really chuffed when I realised this morning, gave me a wee boost for the day.

Just testing to see if I've adjusted the right way ... oh - apparently not.
Hold on - isn't the site reporting the wrong time? Oh no - that's me being Anglocentric, I think.
What day is it? I'm confused again.

I just did this and clicked some other things while I was there, and for the first time in several months I now have actual dates for when people posted messages. Until now it's just said things like "Sun Oct 2009". No numbers.Millymollymandy wrote:Also - don't forget to change the time setting on the forum! In User Control Panel at the top of the screen.

LO woke me up at 5:30 this morning. I think she was having a bad dream and said something about falling down the hole in the toilet. She went back to sleep, but I couldn't, so I ended up getting up early and putting the kettle on. It was then I realised the clocks went back, which means I've been up since 4:30am!

Can somebody please remind me, is there a reason why we put the clocks back in the winter? It's not five yet and it's getting dark. I won't see my house or garden in daylight now until next Saturday morning. I hate it.

Something to do with energy saving basically and it seems that it has always been a subject that causes differing opinions.
