Men o pause

Post: # 175606Post homegrown »

After thirty most me begin to suther from this affliction

From http://www.mantivities.wordpress.com/.. ... eing-lazy/

Men love sleeping. And lazy boys. And beer. This is because Men are by nature a lazy species. This is obvious when one considers the things Men are willing to pay the most money for, large televisions, luxurious boats, and private chefs being some good examples.

Some people reading this internet web-blog posting will argue that Men are not lazy, citing countless examples of hard-working Men. Of course, this is a misleading argument. It is true that a Man’s laziness can be trumped by other more urgent endeavors, but in the end, it is to laziness that a Man will always return.
Many Men become confused when they are young, and think that a good way to spend free time is by kayaking and going for jogs. Eventually these Men realize that the only reason they do this is to have an excuse for the laziness that inevitably follows their “exercise,” and they soon stop pointlessly wasting energy, as Man needs no excuse for laziness.

There is no historical, evolutionary, or religious explanation for the laziness of Men. It has never been advantageous to prefer sleep to hard work, not even during the ice age, and definitely not during the 90s. Women clearly prefer Men who are willing to work hard to get what they want (there are exceptions). God has frowned upon laziness, at least since 2001. So why, then, are Men so lazy? I’m going to go take a nap while I think about it.

I don't know about all men being lazy, homegrown. But clutching the remote for dear life, even when asleep, looks strangely familiar

Men are lazy, we work only if we really have to (and can then enjoy working hard) but given the opportunity we'd rather flop out and do nothing.

Women on the other other hand, love to be busy, doing this, doing that, a bit here, a bit there and will only stop .......to talk and talk and.......

People are lazy (and men particulary so) because it's a survival trait. If it wasn't for laziness, there's be no human progress at all - why would anyone ever look for a better/easier way to do anything without intrinsic laziness?

And that, I think, should win a prize for creative excuse making

It may appear outwardly as laziness but I regularly spend time checking my eye lids for pin holes. You can never be too sure.

How rude! I'm not that lazy. I have lazy moments, sure, but I'm not as lazy as some of the women I work with.

Ooooooooh. Controversy!

They probably get paid less than you so why should they work as hard?

You wanted controversy

Aww come MW, have some fun its not often that men paint such a traget on their backs... wait a minute what am i saying we do it all the time

In all honesty I spent years working my guts out for other people and ended up having severe depression and burnout, I think that in truth that a good man is not lazy but simply knows how to manage his emotional mental and physical resources.

Interesting case in point south american people have a siesta during the hotest part of the day, wise people.

Yep - I do that too. And the only thing I insist on is that she asks me to raise my left foot when she's finished beneath the right one. Then I move it straight away. There's nothing like a bit of consideration.

They say a woman's work is never done. Which must be why they get paid less.

Blame Jimmy Carr for that one, not me.
