Chrissy,
My impression of you is that you are a very intelligent woman and mistakes happen to all of us, what defines us is how we deal with them and by definition you are an incredible person. I was a youth leader for many years and we had to help our young people through similar situations and some didn't handle it as well as you appear to.
In life only you can know what you need and don't
Rosey
You are a great mum and will be a wonderful Grandma, take heart
and remember ladies, with bullies there is always someone bigger H will get hers one day
My prayers are with you

Rosey & BC
The 'boyfriend' has commited statutory rape, reguardless of whether or not, in a silly moment, C consented. By the LAW of this land she is (was) too younge to be able to consent & if I was in your shoes, Rosey, I would prosecute the SofaB to stop him impregnating other women & girls.
The baby will be born into a housefull of love, of that I have no doubt.
Not got alot to add, except to send my love to you all.

Hiya Rosey and Chrissie
I have only just seen this thread, I'm sporadic on here, but I had to reply to this as so much of it resonated with me.
I was bullied badly throughout high school, and like Chrissy, had no support from teachers - I got blamed if I retaliated, I was suspended for 2 weeks because I broke a boy's arm, after I snapped after one vicious taunt too many. They never acknowledged the fact that the behaviour of the bullies drove me to it. We lived in a rural area with little school choice, unless you wanted to do a lot of travelling. My mum had a blossoming career, so home ed wasn't an option. Because I had no friends at school, and was miserable, even though I was outwardly tough, I was a vulnerable target for the wrong sorts, and met many of them throughout my young adult life. The sort of people like this lad that you were taken in by Chrissy, they spot you a mile off.
I admire your guts in keeping the baby. I didn't have the same guts, even though I was older than you when something similar happened to me, and I didn't have the supportive and fabulous mum you obviously do. Anything in life is possible with determination and love, and you two sound like you have that in spades. I'm pleased to hear the Head is being supportive, and I hope that this other girl also gets herself sorted out and on a better path in life. Bullies are cowards, and frequently driven by Jealousy, and it sounds like this girl is envious of what you have. It's a shame she's chosen to be your enemy rather than your friend. You will find the right friends out there, you just have to hold out for them. Don't be afraid to be your own person and let who you are shine through, because the right people will find you in the end. It happened for me eventually, and I could never have thought I'd be this happy 10 years ago. I'm now studying to become a youth worker, and meeting so many young people just like you, the world's a much tougher place than it was for young people and it's hard to make a stand and not just be a sheep.
Much love to you both

Hi Chrissy,
I just wanted to say good luck. I'm sure you will be a great mother.
I was bullied when I was at school and the best thing you can do is not react to them, and I know this is easier said than done.
rise above them and do well for yourself. just think of the crap life they will have, spent being bitter and miserable!
I was also a young mother, although not as young as you. I had my oldest child when I was 19 and I'm still with the father
(12 years and 3 kids) you will face challenges, but by the sounds of it, like me, you have a great family to support you.
one thing i will say is, don't be afraid to ask those around you for help, just because you may need help doesn't mean you'll be a failure, it will make you a better person. having a child isn't easy, whatever age you are. and how do you think all the mums in the world learnt? from those around them. at the same time, don't let anyone take over. don't be afraid to turn down help if you don't want it.
we moved away from everyone we knew when i was pregnant with our second child, and then again 2 years later.
My daughter is currently 9 months old and I've found the bumps 'n' babies group at our local children's centre great for meeting other mums and making friends. you might like to as your health visitor about any such group.
take care x

I think that what you said was more 'opinion' rather than 'advice' and it was unsurprising that Rosey and Chrissy reacted to it in that fashion. I'd be surprised if anyone read your post and didn't feel that it over stepped the mark.boboff wrote:OK, sorry to cause offense.
You asked for help, advice, and I gave what I thought was advice.
Anyway thats just my opinion on the matter.
Rosey and Chrissy: Good luck ladies, I think you're both really strong!
