crazy ciabatta
well, if it's true what they say that whatever you're doing at midnight on new years eve, you will be doing all year ... then this year I will mostly be making really peculiar ciabatta dough.
When I baked it this morning, the outside was like pastry and the inside like cake. Sort of like a cake bourguignon
Tastes ok though, which is more than can be said for some of my other bread making attempts. Hopefully next batch will be an improvement xx

As long as it tastes OK who cares
I hope you're wrong about the midnight thing - as I was filling my face with food and booze it doesn't bode well for losing weight

don't worry, I'm sure we're destined for greater things!
OH won't eat any of my ciabatta in case it gives him tummy ache, so I am chomping way through whole loaf, nearly done now ... which doesn't bode well for losing weight either

Re: crazy ciabatta
Second ciabatta was a great improvement on the first, lost the pastry crust but still a bit stodgy in the middle.
OH ate some (probably to avoid a repeat of my hang-dog look when he didn't want any of the first one!)
Really will expode if I eat any more today, so batch 3 will have to wait til tomorrow

Ooh I'm quite envious spitfire - I guess it wouldn't have been appropriate in the company of my mother and daughter though, eh?
