We've got a house!

Hullo all! Hope you're all well!

We saw a house yesterday, with Mum and Dad and fell in love with the place. It's a three bedroom semi on the edge of a large-ish Fenland village, yards from and overlooking, some fields and a whole lotta sky. The garden is large enough to have an allotment and relax (one and the same, some might say!) and the rooms are, at the risk of sounding like an e****e a***t, surprisingly spacious. It needs a lick of paint here and a bit of tweaking there but that's great because we want to start with something of a blank canvas. The nearby high street has everything you could need.

Anyway, we put an offer in about 1/2 hour after seeing it and, after upping it a smidgen, IT'S OURS!!! WOO!!!

We're both so happy!! This will be our first house (and hopefully last, as it's big enough to house a family, not just us.) SUCH RELIEF and RELEASE!!!

Cheers all! The slippers in my name is a nod to the fact that I'm a (relatively) angry (relatively) young man, albeit a heavily domesticated one. Even more so now that I have a mortgage.

Well, it's been AAAAGES since I was last here, but it's time for an update.

We move in this week. It needs a wee bit of paint here and there and everywhere and a new kitchen/bathroom, but we are SO happy and SO relieved right now!
