Sadly no .... neither of those though I have met Edwina Currie...
As for Royalty well the last time I saw the Queen I was in St Pauls Cathedral bout five months ago.

Politics unfortunately affects all of us and Patsy Hewitt affects my employer the most

Im a redblooded male.... and I was out weeding and feeding the raspberry canes in the garden this afternoon...

Edit I went and looked over the gate to the allotments and saw the waist high overgrowth on one of the plots... but I also saw some trees in one of the plots and I was wondering if anyone could identify them if I posted up a link to the photos that Im going to take tomorrow?

PS Im a doctor but I shall not specify the specialism Taxes and traffic are no where near what I do though I do have to deal with them

Hmm .. ran out of chocolate stuff to stick anywhere...
Anyway, welcome to the forum.
I've only just got my name on the list for an allotment ... given the rather low number of plots and the fact that everyone retires here (and then takes forty years to die) ... I'm going to be a sprightly allotmenteer.
Completely clueless as regards species of trees ... but there's a whole breadth of expertise for you to tap.

Hee hee, I guessed gynaecologist immediately! So you are unemployed due to the Health Minister. Well as I don't 'do' politics I won't ask further questions!

Now trees, that I do 'do', so post your piccies and we'll have a guess at those! (They are probably elderberry).

Hello dentist! DH and I were having a conversation only the other night, wondering why dentists (in our experience) have far better bed-side/chair-side manner than GP's and doctors generally. My NHS dentist actually talks to me as if I have reached the same evolutionary level as he; my GPs (all of them in our practice) would obviously be more happily employed as pathologists. Hope this doesn't offend any medics on here - my experience of doctors so far is fortunately fairly limited, and I know there are decent ones out there. I'm a lawyer, and everyone is rude about us.

No Im a Psychiatrist

I went to see the plot but have not taken photos (forgot the camera)

Have settled on a nice sunny 5 pole allotment with perhaps the option of having more ( if no one wants them )( as there are two overgrown half lots next to me) as I am 4th in the waiting list and three others have to see them and have two apple trees on the plot

Yay!!

Borrowed a lopper and chopped away for half an hour and result lots of privet and sycamore and brambles bit the dust....

Plenty of nettles on site too so good soil.....

Oh dear, I am growing increasingly stupid in my old age. THere was a clue in the "I don't do teeth" wasn't there? And I failed to spot it. And I am sure you are a wonderful doctor, nothing like my GPs.
Well done re the allotment. Got ours a year ago, it makes me very happy

I'm stupid too as I didn't read the postings right.

Why do people not talk to you any more when you say you a psychiatrist? What is wrong with that?
