New "amateur friendly"alternative energy company

Post: # 19241Post Martin »

We've recently started a small company in East Sussex, to source and fit alternative energy products - and are very happy to offer anyone free advice. As I came to the business from being an "amateur tinkerer", we will be doing all we can to help the amateur enthusiast.
We've just agreed a deal to carry the full range of products from a company based in Wales - much of it is unashamedly Chinese (as is nearly every manufactured product these days!), and is at a VERY keen price! :flower:
Everything is shipped directly from China to Wales (by sea), then to us - a very direct route that cuts out umpteen middlemen, and is at least environmentally better than airfreighting them in.
As an example, if you were watching the excellent "It's not easy being green" series this week, you would have seen Dick Strawbridge erecting one of "our" wind turbines - 200w, including mast, supports, regulator/control unit and inverter -around £300 (all you need are some batteries and a dump load controller, and you have a complete system!) As they are hefty brutes (75kg), we get them sent direct from the importer in Wales - this unfortunately adds some £55 to the price. If anyone's interested, we're popping over to visit the suppliers on the 17/18th of this month, and would be happy to bring any purchases back to Sussex to save you the carriage (pick up from my place). If you'd like to know more, just pm me! 8)
Still under construction website - webshop to follow soon! http://solarwind.org.uk
