Elderflower Champagne

Post: # 197554Post moragd1 »

We live in Perthshire Scotland and I need to make some Elderflower champagne for a toast at my daughters wedding on 10th July!! Do any of you in the warm and sunny south have any in flower at the moment and would be willing to post some flower heads up here, I'll pay the postage and will even send you a bottle! Time is already getting tight to have it ready in time but any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Morag,

I can't help directly - all the elderflowers I can see are still little green buds - but I think that posting them to you may not work (I only think - I don't know) as they may well be stale by the time they reach you.

However, panic not - you can make elderflower champagne from elderflower cordial, which may be much easier to get hold of.
