Maybe that's another use for them, cut them into squares, iron them flat and hey presto - new roof tiles!! :lol:

The tread on the tyre as it wears on the road causes a rubber dust - it is a pollutant - that has been found on roofs and contaminates waterways. Water catchments that draw runoff from roads often end up contaminated and it presents very much like oil or fuel. Very hard to do much with.

Did you think you just replace your tyres because they dissapear?

I understand the bit about run-off - but that it gets onto roofs as well was news to me! Oh well, the endless circle of life... :roll:

Went to this funky house once and they had a sign on their roof. It said:

Broomstick Parking.

Still makes me laugh.
