Greetings from a draughty house on a windy evening!

We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

Greetings from a draughty house on a windy evening!

Post: # 236679Post JollsPolls »

Hi everyone!
I'm so glad to have finaly joined the forum having finally got up my courage! I hope I will be able to learn lots about being more Ish. At the moment I am limited to stretching my student budget to fair trade products and veg boxes, and annoying everyone I live with by running around the house like a loony with buckets of water from the waterbut for flushing the toilets with and similar things ( I also make my own clothes very badly!). We're moving to a new flat next week which is a very teeny tiny patio for which I am already planning how I will be able to grow things in pots, and I am very excited.
Unfortunately my partner is grinding his teeth because we're supposed to be going to the pub (most appropriately called Oddfellows) so I'd better skip off now, but I hope to talk lots more to everyone soon.

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

I know you will pick up lots of tips here for growing on your patio, but also have a look at the vertical veg website.
