Leckhampton is surprisingly good for foraging- When I was staying in chelt not that long ago, I was going a little nuts -missing the trees- so it was suggested that I take a walk up to Leckhampton, having never been there before I was a little pessimistic whilst walking up the hill, but I was soon surprised by the amount, and variation of foragables there...

Growing and/or available currently in Leckhampton...
Apples, borage, bitter vetch, elderflower, meadowsweet, wormwood, mugwort, ox eye Daisies-fields of them right now, at the very top in-between the view point pillar and the abandoned farm, elderflower, comfrey, hawthorns and rose hips, Judas (jews) ear mushrooms, I've even seen an area of wild/ naturalised asparagus close by - leave them along though ishers, give it a chance to spread more!

Forest of Dean... (place names in Forest, thus keeping all but the most intuitive vurrenerf away) my advice- park in linear park, "Sinnderferd" near the ponds- then walk up the hill into the woods, towards speechhouse and you'll find something new every time. Sloes eh... "Rrerrdean" park (the rec/ field), the hedge row at the back, full of sloes! -Anywhere along the banks of the Wye is good foraging, you'd have a hard time finding a nicer walk too.

Ah cherries.... Yes. However, they are near my top-secret guerrilla garden.. so can't really draw you a verbal map on here. I spotted some near ranks in "mitjuldeane", at the end with the green-roofed building-ross/ley side of mitch- huge cherry trees, but they're right on the road side, and near ranks xerox - so prob contaminated.

Bilberries at the top of the plump -quarry side, near the com. masts, and in the beaches near the wilderness.
Raspberries up at wig pool- if you've got good shoes and a stick, necessary to get through the brash and bogs.

I'll be on the look-out for crap apples, pears and any unused orchards, or forgotten apple/pear trees - for making cider and cider vinegar. Know of any? Also any good mushroom sites, around in the forest?
