I've finally got my book published!

Have you made something and want to show it off? This is the place for your photos or just talk about the things that you have made or would like to make. All crafts from knitting and crochet to woodwork, in fact anything that you have made!

I've finally got my book published!

Post: # 251355Post Cligereen »

I've been working on a book for a while and while I had trouble getting a publisher, it's now finally available! :downtown:

The book is called Fall Prevention for Older People: A Survival Guide and it's available from Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.com and 'in all good bookshops' as they say on the radio ads.

I've tried to post a pic until my fingers are bleeding but I just can't seem to make it work for me - :banghead: .

You can check it out on my website though, http://www.fallstoppers.com

Please feel free to check it out.

Congratulations. I've not had any dealings with publishers but my impression is that it's hard to get a book published so well done!

Thanks P&P, it was hard to get a publisher, took over a year of rejections, enough to almost put me off the whole idea.

Now it's done it's another thing off my bucket list!

Congratulations! It's a very catchy title and also a very worthwhile topic. I remember when my Nan fell in the home. She landed on her elbow (in her nineties) onto her hard tile fireplace. Her elbow smashed and we couldn't imagine how much it was hurting her. Worse than that she fell on a Friday night -just in time to be joined by all the drunks in A & E.

Good luck with the book!

Well done for getting published! I am sure it was not easy...
I have the current issue with my dad who falls pretty much once a week, so I may be doing some shopping...

Could have done with your book a while back with my Nan but since she went in to hospital her leg muscles wasted away in there so now she has no mobility. Well done on getting it published.
