Re: Don't laugh!
This is a beautiful frame basket. Well done. Basket making is not as easy as some people would have you believe. The colours are awesome.
If anyone is looking for a basket weaving course in the South East I can thoroughly recommend Alan Sage (AJS crafts) who teaches in Ashford. I have done many of his courses and he is an excellent teacher.

Does this mean your now the forums very own "Truglodyte"................Green Aura wrote:My first (and thus far only) attempt at basket making. I made a trug, from locally sourced willow (brown, green and purple) and heather.
Sorry it's not a particularly good photo - all the others were fuzzy
It needs trimming a bit more but we were told to wait until a few days to let it dry out fully.
And no, I won't be harvesting lemons!

Re: Don't laugh!
Cheeky!
I used it for the first time on Thursday (having rescued it from the cats). I picked 2lb of self-set mustard from the polytunnel! Homemade ricotta and mustard (no spinach yet) lasagne! Fabulous.
I must update my thread on cheesemaking.
