Do you keep livestock? Having any problems? Want to talk about it, whether it be sheep, goats, chickens, pigs, bees or llamas, here is your place to discuss.

i realised last night my smoking costs us about 25 euros a week... that is the cost of hay...
i lasted til 4pm today... have now smoked 5 while sat here... computer=smoking.. duh!!
perhaps i have to give up computer too
but it is my connection to english-speaking world.... may have to switch to roll-ups for a while cos i can never be bothered to make one
I'm not big on horses, I'm afraid. I saw the crap and expense that my brother and his Mrs went through just so they could get in the odd ride. I know they are alternative transportation but a bicycle doen't shy at a gatepost and toss you on your neck, or tromp on your foot when you are pushing it along. (sorry)
and i wouldnt wanna ride 100kms in a day (my horse could), or cycle on these hills around here (my horse prefers to go uphill)
and i'd give you a race on your bike anyday :)
i could probably beat cars to most destinations around here, following tracks etc...
sorry, you may have guessed i think horses are cool :)
Hi i'm new here just found this site from surfing! i have two horses mother and daughter the daughter is just 5 this year and i started her myself with some help from friends!

I've had an elderly arab mare for a little over a year, now. She can be cheeky but she's lovely and I'm learning all about the care and feeding. She doesn't look like she's in her thirties!
She can be ridden but I've gotten topheavy over the years, apparently, so have to relearn how to ride. That is to say, learn how to ride properly.
One challenge is keeping poisonous weeds out of the pasture, which I'm renting for $75/month. It's five miles from the house but that's not bad for the price. Big ol' jets fly quite near into Sea-Tac International Airport. Must be why the land's so cheap!
