just some ideas for you all to try

If you know of a way to help save our planet, even just a small part of it put it here. Also if you want to ask how to help, or even if you want to promote your environmental organisation. All goes here.

They are carnivores! Last time I let mine out to free range one of the little buggers caught a shrew (or similar) and ran around with it danging from her beak with the others following all cackling away (you can imagine the scene  )........

and then............

She swallowed it WHOLE!

then....... (just as you thought it couldn't get worse :pale: )

she must have regurgitated it because I later saw her eating innardy-things. ewww eeeee!

The only thing i dont give my hens is the chicken products, for the same reasons already stated.

I let them have anything else meaty though - they eat worms, flies, daddy-long-legs and stuff after all - they aren't vegetarians!

In answer to everyone who wants to know, Yes i do feed them allmost anything including some meats, their particular favorite is spag bol, they love cooked pasta and cooked veggies too although they have to share the veggie left overs with my goats.

My hens also eat mice, i too thought they were veggies until i had them for myself and saw with my own eyes

But they eat virtually all what we eat, they are very healthy for it too.

hope that answers a few questions.
