Why do you need their surnames to send them a Christmas card?

Can't you just personalise it with a flowery "Andy and Mandy" or whatever... and pop it in their box?

moved here a few weeks ago & dont know first names either. They all keep themselves to themselves (all 4 of them) and I never see them, so dont want to be too personal either.

Well, that's pretty funny.....LOL

Don't know their first names.... or their last names.... watcha wanna search? The colour of their letter box? An identikit maybe?

ROFLMAO

I say just be honest and go with something like:

Here's wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas

*Oh - I do hope you laugh with me on this one!*

I'd go with Boots's suggestion... actually I wouldn't send one at all cos I don't do christmas cards unless it's to people that I don't bump into every day... just call me Scrooge :)

Lived here a few weeks, admitted to hospital on completion day & been bedridden ever since. No opportunity to talk to them, or even meet them. I think it will be rude to be over friendly on the first card. I know some of them are church goers......and elderly. I want to respect them.

All I ask is does anyone know a website which will give me the info.

hold on... hold on....

What are you doing writing Christmas cards anyway lol... it's only September. No doubt by the time chrimbo comes along you'll either know them and be on first name terms, or you'll have found out that you can't stand each other and not want to send them a card anyway hehehe.

You could always ask the postie!

1. Bedridden, something to do. Took delivery of my pre printed cards today so might as well get them done.

2. A series of operations are needed, so will be in bed alot running up to christmas.

3. Ask postman.......Data Protection Act 1996. I dont want to put my postie in that situation.

I go along with Boots - I usually do something along the lines of

"Happy Christmas to all at no. 37 from all of us at no.38 (Mel, Fred, Barney, Wilma and Betty)"

I think that sounds great and you could address it to 'All at no. 37' too.

Sorry to hear you are bedridden. :(
