My introduction and other animals.
Hello everyone,
I, the Cardinal, and my other half have been scheming to oust the consumerist shackles of our capitalist society for many moons now and finally we have begun to establish a small cottage industry for our wants and needs (mostly alcohol on my side of it).
Even today, I have been peeling small, slightly annoying onions for the ‘pickle section’ of our Christmas hampers, whilst my other half (the astounding ‘Vamp’) is currently downstairs making some more tofu.
We are both vegans and live in Cornwall.
I have enjoyed the period in my life spent perusing this site and decided to spend my evenings chatting on here with concurring people of the self sufficient character.
Cheers,
Paul ‘The Cardinal’ K.

Hello to everyone else who has kindly said hello since I originally did.
Should be a fun on here; I would otherwise be spending my evenings sorting through my stamp collection or hugging my demijohns, so it’s nice to get away from it all.
Cheers,
The Cardinal.

We produce a lot of our own food (although certain aspects of it we have to buy and turn into something good ‘n’ wholesome). By partner is looking into producing vegan food to sell at local health food shops, but we both work from home doing web & graphic design which keeps us more than busy, so she has not really had time to launch into it just yet.And what kind of cottage industry are you working at. I'd love to know!
Except for spending the day peeling them (I still have onion juices trapped under my finger nails three days after the last batch).Anything that involves pickled onions sounds good.
Hello and thanks for the welcome. Yes, Cornwall is a lovely area and it offers plenty of hedgerow perks to keep the wine making flowing throughout the year!Hello there and welcome to the site, a lovely area of the country that you live.
Cheers,
